That's quite wonderful. You must feel kind of reassured after hearing everything that could have gone wrong as well as everything that can go right-and it seems so much has gone right.

Love to Jem Aliyah....did I get that right?

Roses are red,
Some have a long stem,
This is the first of many poems,
For the bundle of joy named Jem.

I’m glad you’re de-mystifying this whole process,
For a while I was in a fog,
The journal entries and the pictures are a treat,
Thanks for the exhilarating blog!

Her smile is big and wide,
Her eyes are like two clear pools of water,
Her legs have several folds of baby fat,
All of that equals one cute daughter!

I have one selfish thought,
A situation created by my Dad and Mom,
What will we have Jem call me?
As I am her Uncle with the name of Tom.

Hello Jem Aliya,

So nice to meet you officially. It's great to see your big smile as you play with your parents. Before long the short 2 hour visits will morph into day long adventures that will extend a lifetime. Oh, how life is just beginning to change. It is amazing how the relationship and bond between the three of you will continue to grow and blossom over the next weeks, months and years. We are thrilled to be able to join you on this adventure as your life together begins to unfold.

Thanks for sharing!
Sending all of you big hugs from Maine : )

(p.s. - Steve is planning to respond to your email tonight)
